Mindfulness

Benefits of mindfulness

Practising mindfulness can help you feel less stressed, improve your memory and mental clarity, help you manage your emotions and feel more compassion for yourself and others.

Mindfulness is a great way to release any tension your have or might be subconsciously holding in your body (check out our Progressive Muscular Relaxation script), it can also give you the time to focus on the here and now rather than what may come to pass or what has been, helping you find clarity in difficult situations. It does take practice and some dedicated time.

Try our quick 5-minute breathing for a simple way to refocus the mind.

Mindfulness Exercises

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment, without judgement. In mindfulness, we notice our experiences without believing, for instance, that there’s a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel in a given moment.

You learn to experience positive and negative thoughts and sensations in your body without judging them. You become the observer of your own experience.

Mindfulness Audio Exercises

Here is a selection of mindfulness audios that you can listen to at any time that you need to. Mindfulness is a good habit to get into, so if this is for you, try and bring some mindfulness into your week, as often as you can.

A Final Thought

There are lots of ways to practice mindfulness. Finding a way that suits you can help you get the best out of it.

It won’t be the answer to all your problems but it can certainly help you become more aware of your emotions.
