Mindfulness

Benefits of mindfulness

Practising mindfulness can help you feel less stressed, improve your memory and mental clarity, help you manage your emotions and feel more compassion for yourself and others.

Mindfulness is a great way to release any tension you have or might be subconsciously holding in your body (check out our Progressive Muscular Relaxation script), it can also give you the time to focus on the here and now rather than what may come to pass or what has been, helping you find clarity in difficult situations. It does take practice and some dedicated time.

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment, without judgement. In mindfulness, we notice our experiences without believing, for instance, that there’s a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel in a given moment.

You learn to experience positive and negative thoughts and sensations in your body without judging them. You become the observer of your own experience.
